About the event
Founded in 2010 by Dr. Mackey and her husband, Young Aspiring Americans for Social & Political Activism was created to address the challenges youth face in navigating academic and career development in the social sciences. By fostering academic and career self-efficacy, racial identity awareness, civic literacy, and engagement, YAASPA empowers youth to become co-creators of their futures rather than passive participants in labor market-driven pathways.
